Beyond Processing was a series of workshops held with Steffen Fiedler at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. Its goal was to pass on knowledge about advanced tools for design through software which Steffen and I gained through recent projects. This should help students to increase their expertise for the realization of complex design projects beyond hardly working prototypes. Workshop topics so far were the use of the Processing framework within the Eclipse Software Developement Environment and the principles of computational information design. The later was introduced in a recent workshop focused on the visualization of discussions in one year of email traffic from our university. This workshop also featured lectures by Christopher Warnow on visualization techniques using the Sunflow Renderer as well as a presentation by Christian Riekoff on his powerful CreativeComputing framework.
